Politics on the Rocks is proud to announce our next networking event featuring United States Congressman David Schweikert, CD9 Candidate Vernon Parker, and State Treasurer Doug Ducey on Thursday, November 1st 6:00 PM at the Montelucia Resort "Centro Lounge" located at 4949 E. Lincoln Dr. in Paradise Valley. Located off the resort’s Kasbah Pool, Centro Lounge is the center of campus gathering spot for Montelucia’s sophisticated and high-energy crowd. Montelucia’s Centro Lounge has transformed into the reimagined space with a fresh and innovative restaurant menu from Executive Chef Michael Cairns. A nine-panel media wall with indoor seating and lounge clusters expand in to the outdoor space. Enjoy the views of Camelback Mountain, gather around the fire pits and enjoy the Scottsdale Lifestyle. We appreciate our marketing partners Swiss America, Scottsdale Nights, and Biltmore Graphics.

David Schweikert has been a lifelong Arizona advocate. He was raised in Scottsdale, Arizona, and attended Arizona State University where he earned a BA degree in finance and real estate and his MBA in 2005. David is serving his first term in the United States House of Representatives representing Arizona’s 5th district and serves on the Financial Services Committee. Prior to being elected to the 112th Congress, David served as Treasurer of Maricopa County in 2004. As Treasurer of one of the largest counties in the United States, David was responsible for protecting billions of taxpayer dollars and earning over $300 million in investment income while never showing a deficit despite a tough economic environment.

Vernon B. Parker is a rising star in the national Republican Party and is currently running for United States Congressman in CD9. Raised by his grandmother in a severely underprivileged neighborhood, Parker was able to escape the drugs and violence of his environment through love, education, and hard work. Parker is the personification of the American Dream. He was able to escape poverty by putting himself through college and law school. Parker and his wife, Lisa, seek now to instill the same qualities in their own children as they come of age in one of the most challenging economic times in our history. He was recently elected to serve a second term on the Paradise Valley Town Council. Parker served as Paradise Valley’s Mayor from 2008-2010. His upbringing taught a few things about living on a budget, and when the Great Recession hit no town was spared. He cut spending by 30%, reduced staff and streamlined government. Previously, he served as Special Assistant to President George H. W. Bush. Parker was also nominated by President George W. Bush and unanimously confirmed with bipartisan support by the United States Senate, as an Assistant Secretary at the United States Department of Agriculture.

Doug Ducey was elected to his first term as Arizona State Treasurer on November 2, 2010. He took office January 3, 2011 as Arizona’s 32nd State Treasurer. As Arizona’s Chief Banker and Investment Officer, Treasurer Ducey oversees more than $10.5 billion in state assets and serves as an investment manager for local governments. Treasurer Ducey also serves as the Chairman of Arizona’s State Board of Investment, and State Loan Commission. He also serves as the State’s Surveyor General and is a member of the State Land Selection Board. Doug Ducey was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, but Arizona is Doug's home. It’s where he met his college sweetheart – now wife of 20 years – Angela, and where he has raised his three sons Jack (14), Joe (12), and Sam (8). It is also where Doug built and developed two businesses that created jobs for Arizonans across the state. Doug came to Arizona in 1982 to attend Arizona State University where he graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Finance in 1986. He worked his way through college at Hensley & Co., the local Anheuser-Busch distributorship. Upon graduation, he joined Procter & Gamble and began a career in sales and marketing. There he was trained in management, preparing him for his role as partner and CEO of Cold Stone Creamery. When he and his business partner sold the company in 2007, Cold Stone had grown from a local scoop shop to more than 1,400 locations in all 50 states and 10 countries. Doug then committed to an entrepreneurial pursuit in Scottsdale where he became the lead investor and Chairman of the Board for iMemories.

THE ARIZONA DEMOCRATIC PARTY'S 'WAR ON WOMEN'!

CLICK ON THE PICTURE ABOVE TO SEE LARGER

Democrats have pounced on the 'lie' about the Republican "so-called" War on Women! But in reality, it's the Arizona Democratic Party that has started their own 'War On Women'!

Last week, The AZ Dems put up an ad on YouTube about AZ CD-2 Congressional candidate MARTHA McSALLY. The AZ Dems used video that we shot at a Meet & Greet for McSally in Phoenix WITHOUT our permission! Since then, they have taken down the video (guess they realized they were going to be sued).

The AZ Dems took McSally's comment out of context (what's new, these losers have no clue).

Here is the original video we shot and you can see for yourselves just what she said:

Guess the Dems are really scared that Martha is going to defeat Liberal Ron Barber? Barber is the one who said this about Republicans:

"Quite frankly, on the other side, it's essentially a bunch of white guys." That's because the people sent to represent Republicans are typically the 'big money' people in the country"

This coming from the same Arizona Democratic Party that is playing the 'Race Card' in the CD-9 Congressional race. Two fliers the Party paid for and circulated against VERNON PARKER . Here are the fliers:

Here are just a few of the media stories from across the country on this shameless scam:

This from the Party that supports Communist/Socialist Kyrsten Simena who said this about 'stay at home' women:

“These women who act like staying at home, leeching off their husbands or boyfriends, and just cashing the checks is some sort of feminism because they're choosing to live that life. That’s bullshit. I mean, what the fuck are we really talking about here?”

This is the reason the Arizona Democratic Party has lost over 52,000 registered Democrats in 2012!

It's the reason in the 2010 elections, NO Democrat won a Statewide race; the AZ Legislature went to a Super Majority for Republicans in both the House & Senate!

Keep up the great work Arizona Dems!

Vernon Parker, Candidate for Arizona's 9th Congressional District Gives the GOP Weekly Address 9/29/12

Great Job by AZ CD-9 Republican candidate VERNON PARKER in giving the Weekly GOP Address!

Published on September 29, 2012 by

A former Mayor and Town Council Member, Vernon Parker is an NRCC Young Gun who is running for Congress in Arizona's new Ninth Congressional District. Raised by his grandmother in a severely underprivileged neighborhood, Parker was able to escape the drugs and violence of his environment through love, education, and hard work. While attending law school at Georgetown University, Parker met his wife, Lisa, a native of Phoenix. The two eventually moved to the Phoenix area to raise their children, Sonya and Ian, after Parker completed his law degree and service in the administration of President George H.W. Bush. To find out more about Parker, visit VernonParker.com

Phoenix, AZ – In an amazing show of support and confidence, House Speaker John Boehner personally selected Republican Congressional candidate Vernon Parker to give this morning's Weekly Republican Address.

In selecting Vernon, Speaker Boehner called him "a rising star… committed to … restoring the American Dream."

Parker was the first Congressional candidate selected to give the address – an honor many sitting Congressmen have never had.

In today's address, Vernon focused on his priorities for Arizona and America – primarily getting Americans back to work. He was able to preview his jobs plan, which will be released this coming week. He was also able to tell his story – a story of a man who truly understands what it means to never quit.
