Pima County Recorder records show Carmona didn’t vote in 2010
PHOENIX – Casting a vote today is easier than ever. So it’s perplexing why in 2010, when Terry Goddard was running for governor, and former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords sought reelection, current Democrat Senate candidate Richard Carmona sat out the election. That’s according to records from the Pima County Recorder showing that Carmona didn’t bother to vote in either the primary or general election just two years ago.
“Casting a vote is one of the most important and cherished rights in a democracy. So it’s sad when someone chooses to not participate,” said Andrew Wilder, communications director for Flake for Senate. “How can Richard Carmona ask Arizonans to vote for him when he doesn’t even bother to vote himself?”
